What Global Grey ebooks offers.
Missing from the literature is a significant perspective of teachers knowledge resulting from classroom experiences with global education. Using sources such as Project Gutenberg, and Archive.org, as well as other places (and sometimes my own books), I use these texts as a foundation. I find public domain artwork for the covers, format the texts, so that there are clear chapter headings and breaks, ereader-compatible tables of contents, and where applicable, properly placed footnotes and illustrations. The site has been around for about 8 years now, and right from the start, it's been a one woman operation. I create all the ebooks myself, as well as the design for the site. I believe my original intent when I started Global Grey - to make ebooks that look good - is still being upheld today.

Ebooks for computers as well as ereaders.
I offer three formats for the ebooks: epubs, mobi (for Kindle), and PDFs. Global Grey is one of the very few sites that offer good quality public domain PDFs in addition to epubs, etc. A lot of people prefer to read their books as PDFs, which is why it will always be a format I offer. There are 110 categories, and no fee, registration, or email required to download.
What makes Global Grey ebooks different?
Reading books on ereaders should be a pleasurable experience and I believe Global Grey ebooks gives that. The site is easy to use and the ebooks are easy to download. No hoops to jump through, no forms to fill out - just thousands of free, beautiful ebooks.
I think the main thing that makes my site different, is the range of categories on here. Currently there are 110 ebooks categories, and these range from good old fiction to religious and spiritual texts. In between, there are literally dozens of other subject matters, such as pyschology, philosophy, the paranormal, self-help, history, occult, and many, many more.
I'm also very friendly and always here (most of the time anyway) if you need help with something or want to ask a question about the books. In addition, if there is a public domain book you want to read, but can't find it on the site, let me know and I will do my best to get it up there for you.
More ebooks added every week.
This is an ongoing project and I usually add new books every couple of days unless I'm working on other parts of the site. But for those who wonder if this site is still being maintained - very much so. I have lots of books waiting to be reformatted and no matter how many times I try and reduce that list, I continually add to it whenever I see a good book that deserves to be shown some love and re-published in a Global Grey ebook edition.
At the moment, there are also some facsimile books on here - a throwback to when I was trying to just build the site up. However, I would much prefer the entire library to consist of my own editions, so I am working my way through and converting those I can. OCR software can only do so much in terms of catching errors, so some of these books take a very long time to reformat.
