Harvard Medical School Master's in Medical Education Program

Mission

Admissions; Special Programs; Special Programs. The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania offers several special programs that allow students to become a part of our community through non-traditional channels or prepare to apply to a medical school in the future. Biomedical Graduate Education (new window), an extension of the Graduate School at the Medical Center, houses 17 exceptional biomedical master’s degree programs, including options for online programs. Master’s degree programs generally can be completed in one year on a full-time basis, although many of these programs also offer the opportunity to complete the program on. The Tulane Pathways to Medicine (TPM) is a program that will provide Tulane University undergraduates early assurance admission into Tulane University School of Medicine (TUSOM). The TPM program is for students who are committed to pursuing a degree in medicine at TUSOM after completing their four years of undergraduate education.

The mission of the HMS Master of Medical Science in Medical Education (MMSc-Medical Education) is to give those who already excel in one of the health sciences disciplines an opportunity to turn their specialized knowledge and skill towards the advancement of health professions education. Through research, skill building, and innovation, the HMS MMSc-Medical Education seeks to transform health professions education in the service of advancing the health sciences and healthcare nationally and internationally. Graduates of our program will be well positioned to lead progress and make transformative change.

Special Masters Programs For Med School

Apply now for admission to the SMP for 2021–22.

Applications are now being accepted for admission to the Special Master's Program in Physiology for academic year 2021–22. Though applicants' academic potential is important, we employ a holistic and inclusive admissions process; more than half of our applicants who met our recommended criteria were admitted to the program last cycle.

Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2021.
